About Dr. Edwin Smith

Dr. Edwin Smith is a dedicated and experienced dentist practicing in South Florida since 2013. Having grown up in South Florida, Dr. Smith is a big Miami Heat and Dolphins fan. He attended FIU for college and graduated from Columbia University Dental School.

As the founder of Next Dental, Dr. Smith has built a practice centered around improving access to high-quality, compassionate, and affordable dentistry, particularly for seniors in South Florida.

Dr. Smith’s commitment to his patients goes beyond routine dental care. He is passionate about improving efficiency to create a better patient experience. That’s why Next Dental centers are bigger than your average dental office. More space allows us to bring on a bigger team in one location. So, we can provide routine dental cleanings, or our in-house team of specialists can work on you if you require more advanced care. Dr. Smith and the team also believe in giving back to the community, providing local seniors with complimentary transportation to and from the office to help address the growing need in our area.

Outside of the office, Dr. Smith enjoys sports, fishing, and boating. He’s a happily married father of three young kids who keep him busy and remind him of the importance of work-life balance—because we want him around serving the community for many years to come!
